Ingredients

4 scoops vanilla ice cream
2 shots hot espresso
2 tbsp amaretto or coffee liqueur (optional)
Dark chocolate shavings, to serve

Method

Place 2 scoops of ice cream in each glass.
Pour a hot espresso shot over each.
Add liqueur if using and top with chocolate shavings. Serve immediately.

Tip: Use good espresso — it is half the dessert.
